Welcome to Faith Evangelical Free Church
Hello friends and welcome to Faith . . .
We’re all sinners, saved by the grace of God and trying to grow in our personal relationship with God. How do we do this? We assemble together, we study the Bible and we pray. We believe that the Word of God and the local church has everything that you need for your faith and your life.
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Please feel free to listen to a message online, call the church for more information, or visit yourself and discover a deeper knowledge of Jesus Christ through His Word and fellowship with His Body.
We’re just a bunch of beggars showing other beggars where the bread is.
~ Pastor Slayden MacGregor
Among other ministry opportunities, Slayden serves as the chaplain for Nature Coast Technical High School's football team and serves as Adjunct Instructor at Saint Leo University.
Slayden's lovely wife, Kathleen, is a godly woman providing strength and leadership to many women in the church and community. They live in Brooksville, have four sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Ed is originally from New England, where he attended Bridgewater State College (Bachelor of Science in Physical Education). He served as Peace Corps volunteer in Africa for two years, and traveled throughout Europe before settling in Florida thirty years ago.
Raising six children has provided Ed with many opportunities to impact Hernando County through his family, the local church, the home-school community, and youth athletics. Ed and Hannah have been committed to the local church ministry since they were married and thus, have actively engaged both in-reach and outreach of the Body of Christ on many levels. Over the past ten years, Ed has served largely in adult and children's Sunday school at FEFC; he also oversees the Christian Education Department and works on numerous boards. Ed has served as the Chairman of the Elders for several years before being appointed as Family Life Director. One of Ed's most satisfying and growing experiences has been teaching at a local homeless shelter for seven years. After coaching in various youth sports and homeschooling for over nineteen years, Ed has a wealth of very tactical educational prowess; just ask the children after children's church!
Ed has a clear call by God to the local church ministry and FEFC has grown and benefited significantly from his personal character and gifting as a strong, caring and sensitive pastor/teacher. Ed has an uncanny way of helping us dig deep in the Scriptures to mine rich personal treasures from the Savior. His leadership among the Elders has brought tremendous stability and strength to the board; one that has caused us to fare very well as a flock.
Pray for Ed, as his mission is to come alongside the family of God at FEFC and offer encouragement and opportunities of spiritual growth as we journey together in our desire to honor our Lord Jesus Christ.

DIALOGUING WITH JOB
This new Sunday School class began on July 3rd. Hidden within the “guts” of the book of Job is a litany of personal questions, concerns, opinions and misunderstandings related to God, His work, and His relationship with man. These questions are still relevant today. We will explore man’s search for answers regarding the emotional, mental, physical, and relational anquish in “suffering”. This study will require, like Job, patient endurance, but our understanding and insight will grow as we “dig deeper” together.
