Considering the expansive growth of our County, the GREATEST need for this and future generations is for prominent and growing Bible-based churches that produce vigorous, grace-oriented, mature Christians! God ALONE will be the true foundation and infrastructure our community desperately needs for our children and grandchildren. He accomplishes this through His CHURCH, and we plan to be in the middle of the action for years to come.

God is at work in great ways!

For the last 20+ years the gospel has been personally given to countless students at local schools through many different creative and unique ministry opportunities. And now through Adopt-A-School, God is opening more doors to minister to students, staff and faculty. This is what the body of Christ is for, to engage and serve its community with God’s love and message of forgiveness. We’re constantly developing ministry opportunities from the downtown community of Brooksville and the Brooksville Common, to the Hernando County Jail; and from Community interdenominational, cross cultural/racial Worship services to Child evangelism Fellowship in the elementary schools… Faith church has enjoyed a unique connection to both other churches/ministries and the community at large.  Our desire is to be at the heart of the ministry of the gospel in the center of the county.
We have been praying for over 2 years and now God is opening a door with the former Gateway Building on Hwy 41 to be our new church home.
Gateway Building: The Gateway Building on Hwy 41 would provide the perfect opportunity for our church to experience expansive growth and influence in so many more creative ways. We want to be able to provide the best of what “Church” offers within the community – the gospel for the unsaved, the Word of God for the saved, and service to others with the love and goodness of God-all wrapped in much prayer.   The 41 location is accessible to the entire county and beyond. The Gateway building is big enough to handle expansive growth and ministry for the next generation.
Opportunity is knocking to:
Provide facilities for local public schools Community services with other churches Day care for working single moms. Health Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, Grief Share, Divorce Care Host FCA functions, High School sports banquets, recreational programs (karate, dance, sports etc.) Host Bible conferences with well-known speakers Hurricane or emergency shelter (central and with easy access) Host local parachurch ministries eg Women’s Resource Center, Cru Formal Bible Training – seminary extension campuses
Principles to guide us
  • Prayer is paramount

Jas. 5:16 “…the effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. The Eldersleadership and church family are prayerfully and reverently pursuing this mission, in the fear of the Lord.  We don’t want to presume on the Lord’s will.  We believe that “unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.”

  • We desire to be debt free.
Rom. 13:8 “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another;…”   Prov. 22:7 “…the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.” If we owe money, it sincerely dampens our efforts to serve and give. Because we’ve covenanted not to borrow money, we will truly know God’s provision each step of the way. God also has plenty of room to close the door if He sees fit.
Finances – Estimated Costs
  • Refitting to code the Gateway building $800,000 (est cost for up to 600 people)
  • Contract to purchase the land and building $810,000
  • Estimated total cost: $1.6 million

God wants to bless others and future generations!

One final thought

We have a clear gospel and we preach God’s Word rightly divided. It would be very appropriate to pray:

God, we have a willing heart, a clear gospel and we preach Your Word.
We’re asking You to open this door of ministry and expand the influence of this ministry.
